Where UMT and UCP Students Go Between Classes
Every student at UMT and UCP knows the problem. Your first class ends at 11. Your next one starts at 2. Going home is not worth it, the library is full, and you have already had chai twice.
So you sit in the car park. Or you spend three hours and eight hundred rupees on a lunch nobody was hungry for.
There is a third option about ten minutes down the road.
The short version
ARISE is a PS5 lounge on College Road in Township. Hourly slots you can book ahead so there is no queue, official DualSense controllers and big screens. From either campus it is a short ride — down Khayaban-e-Jinnah and across into Township.
Why it works for a gap between classes
It is exactly one hour long. That is the whole model. You book a slot, you play the slot, you leave. No waiting twenty minutes to be seated and no waiting for a bill. If your class is at 2, you book 12 to 1 and you are not going to be late.
It is cheaper than the lunch you were going to buy anyway — and cheaper still per head if there are four of you.
Nobody needs to own anything. One person in every friend group has a console, and that person is tired of hosting.
And weekday afternoons are the quiet window. Evenings and weekends are when the lounge fills up, so the exact hours students are free are the exact hours it is easiest to get a station.

Quad is four controllers on the one PS5, split four ways, which is the cheapest way to play per person. There are two rooms, so two groups can run at the same time — or one group takes both.

- Something harder — Returnal, Resident Evil Village
Screens are big and set up for low input lag at couch distance, which on a football or fighting game matters more than anything printed on a box.
The realistic case for a group
Get four people together, take a Quad slot, split it four ways. An hour of tournament football with actual seating and air conditioning, for less each than four people at a café ordering the minimum to justify the table. You will spend more there and enjoy it less.

Getting here from campus
From UMT in Johar Town C-II, head down toward Township and cut across on College Road. From UCP on Khayaban-e-Jinnah, go straight down and into Township. Either way it is a short ride, traffic depending.
If you are taking a Careem, Bykea or InDrive, give the driver the Plus Code C7PR+XJJ rather than the plot number — it lands more accurately than the street address. Parking is available if you are driving.
How to book
WhatsApp us with the day, the time and how many of you are coming, and we will confirm the station. Book the morning of, or a day ahead for a Saturday. Walk in whenever — from 12 PM to 2 AM, if a station is free, it is yours.
One thing worth knowing
Your time starts when you sit down, not when you walk through the gate. Turn up five minutes early and you get the full slot.
